The safety and effectiveness of the CustomVue procedure is underscored by the results of a clinical study for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to results of that study, 100 percent of the custom procedures were successful. All patients who elected to have the CustomVue technology for their procedure passed a driving test without glasses or contact lenses. Ninety-eight percent of the people treated with CustomVue had 20/20 or better vision at one year after the procedure, and 70 percent of those people could actually see better than 20/20 – without glasses or contact lenses.
